Class structure & exercise selection: Warm up consisted of basic leg work exercises, the class had a really good flow with adaptations for all levels. Main exercises consisted of leg
exercises to warm up, building to leg strap exercises & squat movements. There was a transition to upper body movements & a core finisher
Cueing style & teaching highlights: Tactile, she adjusted people where necessary
Visual - Demonstration was very helpful
Verbal cues - Talked us through each exercise & guided us through
Visual - Brace your core as if you have a corset on
Class management & safety: Clear understanding of client ability & contraindications queried from the beginning, spring guidance was clear & adaptations provided
Advanced - ie pulse the legs in side plank to make it more difficult
Less advanced - Core exercises, legs extended Vs tabletop position
Loading - Spring loading advised on how to make more difficult Vs easier

Class structure & exercise selection: 60 minute class, really good & intense
- Warm up single leg work
- Progression into single leg glute bridges & single leg work incorporating box on carriage
- 3/4 exercise circuit, repeat each side, 10-15 rep range
- Once lower body was complete, moved to upper body similar format to above
- Upper incorporated ball & ring
- Core finisher
Cueing style & teaching highlights: - Peach under chin, corset around ribs, peeling ourselves away from carriage
- Cues were verbal - Explaining the exercises & spring tension direction
- Tactile correction - For clients with incorrect form, really useful
Class management & safety: Clear understanding of client ability & contraindications queried from the beginning, spring guidance was clear & adaptations provided
Spring tension to make more difficult, incorporation of props (Ball & ring) to make upper more difficult, for core extending legs to make more difficult/easier
My takeaways for teaching: Really good pre class explanation, need to incorporate into my own class structure
- Clear flow & progression, I liked how she worked one side and then the other - Really clear & increased intensity
- Ensuring everyone was set up correctly from the beginning of the class
- Rep count is useful
- Good use of cues, not overkill either which is good
- Rep count & single body side focus is definitely something I will incorporate
- Be concise & tactical with cues don't be overkill
- Flow of class I liked, intense yet manageable

Class structure & exercise selection: - HIIT format, really good structure and flow
- No main cool down/warm up - intense class but gradually built up
- single leg focus (leg press, bridge, progression to pulsing & core finisher
- single side focus (skater & squat, progression to pulsing & upper finisher ie rows & raises)
- core and upper finisher - ie plank & the hundred
Cueing style & teaching highlights: Verbal - peach under chin, neutral spine, shoulders back/relaxed, pulling ribs into stomach
Visual - strong demonstration by Holly to display more complex moves
Tactile - touch correction & example making for class to correct wider group
Class management & safety: Clear understanding of client ability & contraindications queried from the beginning, spring guidance was clear & adaptations provided
Pulsing was used to make exercises more intense as a finisher, for easier adaptations the pulse could be left off. Knee adaptations were also given to lighten the load for difficult exercises
My takeaways for teaching: Cues verbal visual & tactile, flow of the class, intensity really good workout. Catered for all levels & abilities which was really good. The style of the class I really enjoyed it was a great workout and a style I would like to use for my classes. Cueing also I have noted them for future use and the flow which I will adapt and use going forward

Class structure & exercise selection: - Hiit style workout, high intensity - No warm up/cool down
- Long box/short box utilized
- Part one: Flying split squat, lunges, side squats, shoulder press push single leg raised
- Part two: biceps, triceps, chest hugs, shoulder press - superset & weight drop utilized
- Core at the ending of first two parts of class
- Core finisher - plank/elephant/burpees & shoulder tappers (off the carriage)
- Use of props & weights to increase intensity for some exercises
Cueing style & teaching highlights: - Tactile: touch to correct in some of the more difficult movements
- Visual: In depth demo of exercises, running through each sequence in detail
- Verbal: Motivational cues, counting down reps & imagery cues used
Class management & safety: Clear understanding of client ability & contraindications queried from the beginning, spring guidance was clear & adaptations provided
Pulsing was used to make exercises more intense as a finisher, for easier adaptations the pulse could be left off. Knee adaptations were also given to lighten the load for difficult exercises
- Legs extended for tougher variation of core (ie coordination)
- For arm exercises - Up and down or remain kneeling option to make more intense/easier
- DB weights added to increase difficulty if required
My takeaways for teaching: - Cues, tone & projection & demonstration was really good
- High intensity format was really good, style of class I would like to implement going forward
- Off the reformer core was a nice mix up, HR increase was a good implementation
- Use of weights & props is a nice addition
- Style of class - HIIT I like this concept & will use going forward
- Use of weights & props, mixes it up nicely & keeps clients on there toes
- Off the reformer core exercises - Increases intensity, it also broadens the scope of exercises you can use
