The S&C Practical Assessment has 4 components and 29 criteria total. You grade each criterion on a 4-point scale (HC / C / D / NYC). The sheet then weights each component and calculates the final result automatically — you don't pick the overall grade, the math does. Here's what you're doing and how it adds up.
⚠ Safety override — if you grade NYC on any of the three safety-critical criteria (Safety awareness in C1, Safety prioritisation in C2, Safety management in C3), the overall result is automatically Referral regardless of percentage. A student could be at 96% overall and still be referred if they got NYC on a safety criterion. Safety isn't negotiable.
🔒 Submit is gated — you can't submit until every one of the 29 criteria has a grade. The button stays disabled with a tooltip telling you how many are still ungraded.
💾 Save for later — drafts autosave to the cloud, keyed to the student's email. Stop anywhere, switch device, sign in, open the marking sheet, enter the same student email — your draft resumes exactly where you left off.
📁 On submit — an HTML record (including the auto-calculated score breakdown) is filed in your Marking Sheets / S&C / Drive folder, logged in the master Submissions sheet under Category: Marking Sheets, and emailed to education@imageft.ie with the student CC'd.
